Uttrakhand's traditional folk art method has been followed by applying a paste of cow dung and cow urine on cotton cloth and then applying ochre soil on it. Rice Viswar (the solution made by grinding rice) and handmade colours like turmeric, beetroot, kajal have been used in it.

Yellow colour:- Turmeric

Red colour:- Beetroot
