Shiv Aipan for Shiv Archana
In the traditional method of folk art of Uttarakhand, a paste of cow dung and cow urine has been applied on cotton cloth and then ocher soil has been applied on it. In this, the drawing of Shiv Aipan Peetha is done with rice flakes. In the shape of a hexagon, twelve points (144 points) are joined in the middle in such a way that when completed, a protective circle is formed. Mechanical structure is made in all four directions. In Kumaon, the ritual of Shiv Archana is done. The Peetha made for Shiv Archana in the puja room or any designated place is called Shiv Aipan Peetha.
